Embassy in Cairo organized meeting with IDEA
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolia’s Embassy in Egypt has held a joint meeting together with the Regional Representative Office of Africa and West Asian Affairs of the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International IDEA), the Foreign Ministry’s website published Wednesday.
The Ambassador of Mongolia to Egypt Mr Ch.Bayarmonkh has chaired the meeting, giving details about ongoing policy and actions of Mongolia as leading the IDEA’s Council, achievements and challenges of Mongolia in democracy and a good example of the country on running democratic elections.
Regional director of the IDEA for Africa and West Asian Affairs Professor Adebayo Olukoshi has given information on the institute’s participation in the last year’s parliamentary election of Egypt as an observer, and regional actions and planned works.
The Ambassador shared views with Prof. Olukoshi on involving regional representatives in observation of the upcoming parliamentary election in Mongolia and on technical issues.
