D.Khuderbulga qualified for Olympics

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ An international master of sports D.Khuderbulga gained an Olympic qualification to compete in freestyle wrestling event of the 2016 Olympics thanks to winning a silver medal in the 2nd tournament of the 2016 World Wrestling Olympic Qualification held in Istanbul.

Thanks to his capturing of the Olympic quota, the Mongolian national team for men’s freestyle wrestling is to take part in the forthcoming Olympic Games in all weight categories.

In his bouts, D.Khuderbulga IMS defeated opponents from Kosovo and Tajikistan. In the semi-finals for the quota, he beat an Indian wrestler Muasam Khatri. In the gold medal contest, he lost to Albert Saritov from Romania.

Other female wrestlers E.Narangerel (-48 kg) and O.Burmaa (-75 kg) could not secure Olympic quotas.

As of present, Mongolia claimed 25 quotas total in archery, athletics, boxing, shooting, taekwondo, weightlifting and wrestling. More quotas are expected to be grabbed in judo, boxing and cycling.
