Contract to be signed with investor of “Booroljuut” power station and mine

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The cabinet meeting backed Monday a draft contract to be established with investors in the project for construction of Booroljuut power plant and mine, and authorized the Energy Minister to sign the paper.

The draft contract sets out investment size, period, source, stabilization of tax environment, rights and duties of the government and the investor.

According to the project, the power plant with capability of 300 MWT and mine will be built based on the “Booroljuut” coal mine located in borderline of Tov aimag’s Bayan and Bayanjargalan soums. It will be co-financed by the “Bodi International” LLC of Mongolia and the “Power China Resources” LLC of China, while the “Tsetsens Mining and Energy” LLC will work as a contractor.

In addition, the project is expected to provide some 300 Mongolians with jobs and collaborate with assisting performers and suppliers of national enterprisers during the construction and operation periods.
