Grain was sown on 315.4 thousand hectares, potatoes--on 11.2 thousand hectares, vegetables--on 5.0 thousand hectares, fodder plants--on 5.9 thousand hectares, and technical plants--on 30.4 thousand hectares.
In the period, the size of planted fields declined by 62.8 thousand hectares or 14.6% nationwide against the previous year.
