World War II heroes honored on the occasion of Victory Day

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Today, May 09, ceremonies to pay respect to the heroes of the war were held at the Monument to Soviet Soldiers on the Zaisan Hill and the Monument to Marshal of the Soviet Union G.K.Zhukov in Ulaanbaatar dedicated to the 72th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War.
Representatives from the Ministry of Defense, General Staff of the Armed Forces and Embassies of Russian Federation, Belarus and Kazakhstan in Mongolia and Mongolian and Russian citizens took part in the ceremonies.
Students of the Russian High School named after Yuri Gagarin performed a concert and a mini-photo exhibition of Russian soldiers, who had fought in the war, was displayed at the Zhukov Square. Moreover, Russian people present at the ceremonies were holding portraits of their parents, grandparents, relatives-soldiers who participated in the war.
