General Election Commission counting overseas votes

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolian citizens living abroad cast their votes for the second ballot of Presidential election on July 4-5.
Accordingly, the counting of overseas votes has started after polls closed at 10PM. Although over 7 thousand people registered to vote for the first ballot, only 4714 citizens cast their votes on July 26.
As for this time, a total of 2699 Mongolian citizens abroad have cast their votes, showing greatly reduced participation rate. Presently, the General Election Committee is registering the voting ballots cast by overseas voters into the voting machines and will report the preliminary results after receiving transmissions from the voting stations.
