Hay preparation by herdsmen runs at 57.9 percent

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In accordance with its resolution, the Government has assigned to stock up 30.8 thousand tons of hay and 11.7 thousand tons of cattle fodder for aimag's and soum’s emergency reserve.
Currently, 12.4 thousand tons of hay (40.2 percent) and 2.5 thousand tons of fodder (21.1 percent) has been prepared, reported the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry.
As of October 13, 712.3 thousand tons of hay, 816.0 thousand tons of straws, 6266.4 thousand tons of soiling food, 6528.3 tons of produced fodder, 28.5 thousand tons hand-made fodder, 289.8 tons of silage, 37.3 thousand tons of salt have been prepared by herdsmen, with overall performance at 57.9 per cent.
Winter preparation goes above 50 percent in aimags such as Arkhangai, Bayan-Ulgii, Bulgan, Dornod, Orkhon, Uvs, Khovd, Khuvsgul and Khentii.
