V.A.Koksharov awarded Polar Star Order

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Pursuant to a decree of President of Mongolia Kh.Battulga, Citizens of the Russian Federation V.A.Koksharov awarded the Polar Star Order and A.V.Ponomarev the Friendship medal.
The awards were presented by Z.Enkhbold, Chief of Staff of the Office of the President on December 11.
According to the presidential decree they were awarded in high recognition of contribution to developing traditional friendly relations between the two countries and training professional staffs in Mongolia, Citizens of the Russian Federation Koksharov Victor Anatoleivich, Rector of Ural Federal University (UrFU) and Ph.D Alexander V.Ponomarev.
Rector of the UrFU I.V.Koksharav pays special attention on relations between the two countries and he brought change in relations between Mongolia and the UrFU.
Since 1960 over Mongolian 1200 engineers have studied at the UrFU. Moreover the UrFU has established cooperation agreements with Mongolian Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports, National University of Mongolia (NUM), Mongolian University of Science and Technology (MUST) and Erdenet Mining Corporation.
At the initiative of Ph.D A.V.Ponomarev Association of Graduates of Ural Federal University was established and working efficiently. In 2015 A.V.Ponomarev was awarded with Foremost Worker of Education for his contribution to formulating joint educational programs for bachelor and master degrees and developing education sector of Mongolia.
