National University Championships to start in February

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ The National University Sports Championships will be held in 13 sports categories starting in February.
The decision was made at a recent meeting of the Mongolian Students Sports Federation’s Steering Committee, which discussed its 2018 plans and approved the budget. A total of 1,264 medals will be given to the winners at the championships.
According to a guideline, universities and institutions of 5 western aimags will compete together as one team in the 2018 National University Sports Championships. In 2018, Mongolia’s university athletes will compete in 8 sports in the World Championships and 2 sports in the Asian Championships.
Many more events will be organized in 2019 within the framework of commemoration of the Mongolian Students Sports Federation’s 30th anniversary, and the International University Sports Federation’s 70th anniversary and the 60 years of Universiade.
