Road accidents decrease by 30.5 percent in last two weeks

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Road accidents in the capital city decreased by 30.5 percent in the last two weeks, reported the Traffic Police Authority on April 23 at the regular meeting of the managerial staff of the capital city administration.
The Traffic Police Authority in cooperation with the Ulaanbaatar Police Department organized a night patrol activity for the last one month with more than 600 officers on duty. 6 crimes and 850 violations were registered during the night patrol.
The Traffic Police Authoruty received 2,503 calls in the last two weeks. The Ulaanbaatar Police Department received 22,463 calls in the last two weeks.
The Ulaanbaatar Emergency Management Department responded to 102 calls related to hazards and technical accidents, saving 115 lives.
