Indian FM pays courtesy call on President

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On April 26, President Kh.Battulga received Sushma Swaraj, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of India on the sidelines of her official visit to Mongolia at the invitation of her Mongolian counterpart D.Tsogtbaatar.

Beginning the meeting, President Kh.Battulga congratulated on her official visit to Mongolia which is expected and trusted to be very constructive in a way that it deepens cooperation between the two countries.

Expressing her satisfaction with the arrival in Mongolia, Ms. Sushma Swaraj shared that her meetings with the Mongolian head of state, government and parliament were constructive and that they are expected to expand the bilateral ties by major volume. The Indian FM also underlined that the Indian side has been attaching a major importance to the Joint Project on Oil Processing Plant in terms of its significance in helping Mongolia to achieve independence of fuel and petroleum supply.

While highlighting that historic, cultural and religious relations with India have been prospering, The President expressed interest in intensifying economic ties. The head of state also asked Ms. Sushma Swaraj to convey his greetings to the President and the Prime Minister of the Republic of India.

The dignitaries exchanged views, with a focus on the future development of bilateral ties, on ways to promote cooperation in all sectors.
