Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On the World Intellectual Property Day, April 26 E-filing system and industrial property digital library have been launched by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the General Authority for Intellectual Property and State Registration of Mongolia and the National University of Mongolia.

The WIPO has launched a project to install industrial property automation system WIPO IPAS in 2016. As a result of successful implementation of the project, activities to protect rights of trademarks, patents and product designs are conducted through the system.
Specialist of Innovation Department of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports B.Purevdorj said "The information system is giving chances to make registration of intellectual property of scholars and scientists at the global level and to protect them. Main factors of developing innovation connect with ownership, use and registration of intellectual property. The system enables scholars to make search themselves."
Mongolia has more than 65 thousand patent information. It will contribute to support innovation and to create effective system of intellectual property through providing condition to use over 65 million patent information worldwide. Online registration of industrial property eliminates paper use, bureaucracy and misunderstanding, noted D.Delgersaikhan Deputy Director of General Authority for Intellectual Property and State Registration.
