Exhibition dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Bogd KhaanVideo
On the occasion of the 150th birthday anniversary of Bogd Jebtsundamba Khutuktu and the 107th anniversary of the Restoration of National Freedom and Independence of Mongolia, tribute was paid to the first Bogd gegeen, High Saint Zanabazar and ‘Bogd Khan’ exhibition opened at the Bogd Khaan Palace Museum, where Bogd Khanate flag waving ceremony was also held.
On December 29, 1911, Mongolia declared its independence from Qing dynasty and the 8th Bogd Jebtsundamba Khutuktu was encrowned.
The exhibition reveals belongings of 8th Bogd Khaan being kept in the treasury of the Bogd Khaan Palace Museum including his childhood deel (traditional clothing), shoes and some items from his rare collections such as fossilized human brain, rooster egg and stuffed animals.
During the opening ceremony of the exhibition the prizes were awarded to the finalists of the academic conference ‘Bogd-khaan 2018’ organized among university students. The exhibition will run until January 13 free of charge.
