Rehabilitation center for children with disabilities to be established

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. The Cabinet made a decision today to establish ‘Rehabilitation center for children with disabilities’ under General Authority of Development of the Persons with Disabilities.
The center will function for
diagnosing problems and backwardness of children early, rehabilitating and
preventing of secondary conditions, promoting their development based on community
and helping them to be a part of social relations. It will have 250 beds in six
wards and specialized diagnostic and treatment cabinets.
Children with disabilities who
are from rural areas and remote districts will be available to receive
14-21-day pediatric rehabilitation services, including modern diagnosis, physical
and aquatic therapy, as well as speech therapy. Alongside, the center will
produce orthopedic and other required auxiliary stuff.
