PM U.Khurelsukh visits cattle earmarks manufacturing factory
SocietyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh yesterday got familiarized with activities of the first cattle earmarks manufacturing factory which locates in the 14th khoroo of Khan-Uul district.
‘Terguun
sureg trade’ company has been producing cattle earmarks with German
technology since 2013 using raw materials, equipment and devices from the
Republic of Korea.
The factory has capacity to produce 10 million earmarks a year and produces 6000 pieces of earmarks in 12 hours. “The factory plans to increase the current production capacity,” said D.Tuvshintulga, Director of the factory.
The factory supplies earmarks to herders for MNT 1200 per pieces for small cattle and for MNT 1100 for large cattle. Currently, it has stock of two million pieces of earmarks and the factory has been running its operation without getting any loans until today.
PM U.Khurelsukh expressed gratitude for manufacturing import replacement product, creating jobs, ensuring domestic need and intending to export the products.
Minister
of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry Ch.Ulaan said the sector ministry will
order earmarks, supporting the factory with policy.
Having livestock with earmarks is significant to protect livestock genetic fund and fully conduct line breed, to combat livestock theft, to put control on head of livestock and to provide accurate information and statistics, to give support and incentive and mortgage loan to herders founding on animal registration, monitor livestock vaccination and movement and to ensure food safety.
