Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports Yo.Baatarbileg and Cabinet Secretariat of the Government L.Oyun-Erdene became acquainted with the operations of the State Conservatory of Mongolia on May 15. Having first established as the School of Art in 1937, the school previously known as the Music and Dance College officially changed its status to conservatoire in 2017.

At the meeting, the conservatory director Ts.Purevkhuu and deputy director Sh.Ariunaa introduced the work that has been done in the frameworks of transforming the school into a university with programmes of varying levels ranging between elementary and higher education. The two ministers then became acquainted with the conservatory’s dormitory, some classrooms of the school, dance studio and auditorium.

As the school’s old building and dormitory were built in 1962 and 1967 respectively, the conservatory has developed a construction plan to build an international circus school as well as a student dormitory complex.
