‘UB smart parking’ thinkathon held

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Aimed at reducing traffic jam, improving the use of car-park and creating favorable living condition for citizens by developing solutions on parking with the help of up-to-date technologies, ‘UB Smart Parking’ thinkathon took place on June 30.
Industrial Development and Innovation Department of Ulaanbaatar city successfully organized the competition in collaboration with Junior Chamber International (JCI) at HUB Innovation Center.
Seven teams comprising initiative and creative youths and private companies operating in IT field took part in the competition. As a result, ‘A Smart Car Parking Solution’ project by BURAGAS team won the first place, followed by ‘On Street Parking’ project by UB TEAM.
Corresponding officials from Traffic Planning, Coordination and Engineering Department of the Capital City, Department of Road Development, Information and Technology Authority, Traffic Control Center and ‘UB parking’ project worked as mentors.
