Asian Jiu-Jitsu Championship to be hosted in Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Asian Jiu-Jitsu Championship is to be hosted in Mongolia for the first time between July 17 and 20. In this regard, Mongolian Jiu Jitsu Association held a press conference today.


A total of 408 athletes from 24 countries will participate in the contest, of which 331 are in senior event and 77 are in junior event. Judges’ team comprised of 19 judges from 13 countries will judge the competition. From Mongolia, up to 4 athletes will compete in each weight category.  


Junior Asian Jiu Jitsu Championship that will be taking place in Wrestling Palace on July 20, is a ‘Test event’ of Children of Asia - 2020 Games, which will be held under the auspices of President of Mongolia.


Jiu Jitsu Asian Championship 2019 will run under four categories ‘NeWaza JiuJitsu’, ‘Fighting JiuJitsu’, ‘Contact JiuJitsu’ and ‘Duo System’.
