Friendship Medal presented to U.S. Consul

/MONTSAME/ On July 18, Chief of Office of the President of Mongolia Z.Enkhbold awarded
the Friendship Medal, a high state prize of Mongolia, to Jason Spellberg, the outgoing Consular
Section Chief at the U.S. Embassy in Mongolia.
The award was
presented for his major policy initiatives and efforts to develop Mongolia-U.S.
consular relations, give Mongolians pleasant visa application experience, and facilitate
travel conditions for the nationals.
During his
term since 2016, not only Mongolia-U.S. consular cooperation has been elevated
to a higher level, but also a new channel for talks between the two sides has been established. He has also played an important role in
successful implementation of the U.S. H-2 Temporary Worker Program.
