Coin released for 80th anniversary of Khalkhin Gol Battle

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the victory of Khalkhin Gol Battle, the Bank of Mongolia (BoM) enriched its collection of commemorative coins with the ‘Khalkhin Gol 80 years’ coin. The 999 silver coin is 31.1 grams and 39 mm in diameter.

In addition to that, the BoM issued another silver coin ‘Mandala’, which depicts the palace of Kalachakra deity. The mandala with Kalachakra deity in the center surrounded by 365 retinue deities is called Kalachakra Mandala or ‘wheel of time’. The ‘Kalachakra Mandala’ coin is 93.3 grams and 65mm in diameter.
