Mongolian Thai boxer becomes East Asian champion

/MONTSAME/ Thai boxer B.Gantogtokh triumphed over the men's 63.5 kg weight
category at the 2019 East Asian Muaythai Championships held in Hong Kong on
August 15-18. In the gold round, he knocked down Ryan Jakiri from the Philippines
in 55 seconds.
Mongolian
athletes won seven more medals at the competition. Specifically, in women’s
category, bronze medals were harvested by S.Mungungerel in 45 kg and B.Khaliun
in 48 kg and in men’s category B.Batkhuleg claimed silver in 51 kg while
bronzes were grabbed by G.Tenuun in 41 kg, U.Buyan-Orgil in 54 kg, B.Ganselem
in 57 kg and O.Margad-Erdene in 67 kg.
Thus, the
Mongolian team led by coach O.Altanpurev finished in fourth place.
