‘Russian Knights’ pay respect to Khalkhiin Gol Battle heroes

‘Russian Knights’, aerobatic demonstration
team of the Russian Air Force performed a demonstration flight at the Khui
Doloon Khudag, Ulaanbaatar on August 28 on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the
Khalkhiin Gol Battle.
Commanded by Guard’s Colonel Andrey Alexeev, the
aerobatics team, composed of Guard’s Colonel Oleg Erofeev and Guard’s Majors Vladimir
Kochetov and Igor Tkachenko, performed with four Sukhoi Su-30 fighter aircrafts,
displaying their high professional skills and modern arms technologies and
paying their respect to the heroes of the Khalkhiin Gol Battle.
Ahead of their performance, medals dedicated to the anniversary of the Khalkhiin Gol Battle
Victory were awarded to the 57 members of the ‘Russian Knights’ team of the 234th
Guards Aviation Regiment of the Russian Army.
The team started flying with modern Sukhoi
Su-30SM fighter jets in 2016. The Su-30SM, a multi-purpose two-seat fighter, is
a fourth-generation air dominance aircraft developed by Russia's Sukhoi
Aviation Corporation.
