Event held for 80th anniversary of Victory of Khalkhin Gol Battles
SocietyUlaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. Within the framework to celebrate 80th anniversary of the Victory of Khalkhin Gol Battle, an event dedicated to the day (2pm of September 16, 1939), when the war was officially ended, was organized on September 17 at the Museum of ‘Victory of Khalkhin Gol Battle’ of the general educational school No:1321 in Moscow, Russian Federation.
Present at the event were Charge
d’Affaires a.i. O.Ochirmaa, staff members of the Embassy of Mongolia to the Russian
Federation, university scholars and researchers, students and parents of the
school.
Participants in the event
expressed their diverse positions on the historical significance of Khalkhin
Gol Battle, its climax, scope and loss.
During the event, O.Ochirmaa
thanked the authorities of the school and the museum for organizing the event for
youth and children to improve knowledge on joint historical victory and commemorate
warriors of the two countries.
Participants enjoyed
watching theatrical performance of school children about the significance and
history of Khalkhin Gol Battle and folk dance performance of Mongolian students
who study at RUDN.
Following the event,
Mongolian diplomats and students visited museums ‘Victory of Khalkhin Gol Battle’
and ‘Nomads’ Culture’.
