National 3x3 basketball team wins silver in East Asian Special Olympics

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Mongolian 3x3 basketball team won silver medal in East Asian regional Special Olympics 2019.


Teams of 6 countries in East Asian region have participated to the tournament and Mongolian National Special Olympics team won their first game against Korea but lost the following game to Taiwan. Mongolian team placed second and awarded silver medal with its total score after winning the games against host country China, Macao and Hong Kong respectively on the final day of the tournament.


National team manager B.Manduul pointed out that Mongolian team was the only team that consists of both men and women athletes. Two months were spent for the training of the tournament and Naadam Sports Centre and NCP Sport Complex supported the National Team during the period of training by providing necessary equipment and gym.
