Collaboration with Ulsan University hospital for cancer detection discussed

/MONTSAME/ Deputy Minister of Health L.Byambasuren met with authorities of the Ulsan
University Hospital of the Republic of Korea.
The sides talked
about how the Health Department of Orkhon aimag and the university hospital are
jointly doing checkups and tests on citizens in the aimag for early detection
of cancer and about giving health professionals a short-term training course at Ulsan
University Hospital, having experienced South Korean health workers provide in-service
training, and treating patients at the university hospital if necessary.

Minister L.Byambasuren informed that cancers are being diagnosed at later
stages in Mongolia and the government is placing special emphasis on early
detection of cancer and treatment of precancerous conditions and granting
necessary funding in phases. Sharing the outcomes and achievements of the collaborative
projects with South Korea, the deputy minister expressed hope that the collaboration
between the Health Department of Orkhon aimag and the university hospital will
be fruitful and expand further.
