Mongolia’s proposal for International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists introduced

/MONTSAME/ On November 18, Ambassador, Resident Representative of Mongolia to the United
Nations Food and Agriculture Agencies in Rome Ts.Jambaldorj took part in an
international conference on pastoral and livestock sector and presented the Mongolian
government’s initiative to declare an International Year of Rangelands and
Pastoralists.
The event
chaired by FAO Assistant Director-General of the Agriculture and Consumer
Protection Department Bukar
Tijani and Senior Animal Production Officer Badi Besbes involved over 40 representatives from around 20
governmental and nongovernmental organizations.
