Training on food safety management system for dairy factories takes place

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. In the framework of the EU funded ‘Support to Employment Creation in Mongolia (SECiMC2)’ project co-implemented by the Ministry of Food, Agriculture, and Light Industry, and Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nation (FAO), the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) organized an international training under the theme, ‘Food safety management system and international standards for dairy factories’ on November 20-22.


Co-organized by the Governor’s Office of the Capital City, and the Mongolian Food Industry Association, over 40 representatives of dairy factories of Ulaanbaatar city and aimags of the country, Food and Agriculture Department of the Capital City, and veterinary professionals attended the training. 

 

The three-day training covered topics that are crucial for dairy production, such as international standards on food safety, and good manufacturing practices (GMP), food safety management systems - FSMS (ISO 22000), hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP) and halal food production.
