Minister of Health receives Ambassador of China to Mongolia Xing Haiming

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Minister of Health D.Sarangerel received Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Mongolia Xing Haiming in correlation with the completion of his diplomatic mission on December 4. 


During the meeting, the Minister highlighted the historic relations of the health sectors of Mongolia and China, and some of the large scale works that were done during the mission period of the Ambassador, such as workshops and training on building capacity, exchange programs, investment, introduction of the latest medical technology, and joint implementation of projects.




Since 1991, the health ministries of the two countries have been working in partnership by establishing 4-year agreement. With the most recent one established in 2017, the agreement included partnering in monitoring of infectious diseases, information systems, telemedicine, health innovations and technology, traditional medicine, maternal and child health care, public health emergency preparedness and response, blood safety, and supporting good health.


Furthermore, a large number of Mongolian health professionals have been involved in the 3-week training annually organized by the Ministry of Commerce of PRC in the framework of the official development assistance of the Chinese government, with a total of 74 doctors and medical specialists having been involved during 2015-2018. In 2019, 80 doctors and specialists were involved in training on tuberculosis, cardiovascular diseases, and sexually transmitted diseases.
