Large passenger planes are also to be used en route Ulaanbaatar - Moscow by the Russian airline Aeroflot. As for domestic companies, three new international flight routes by national airline MIAT along with private airline companies such as Eznis Airways, and Hunnu Air is considered to have a positive effect on the number of international flights, and in increasing passenger seats.

With the new international airport in Khushig Valley put into operation this year, the national capacity for air traffic is expected to increase by over 40 percent, creating the conditions for the number of tourists in Mongolia to increase, highlighted Director of the Tourism Policy Coordination Department at the Ministry of Environment and Tourism S.Bayasgalan.

Discussion on the matter of the Turkish Airlines' direct flight was initially held between CEO of Turkish Airlines Bilal Ekşi, and Ambassador of Mongolia R.Bold on November 7 of 2019, with plans to conduct the flight from March 2020. However, with further discussions held on the partnership, the flight came to be conducted from January.

As the rights to conduct flights to Turkey have also been acquired by Eznis Airways of Mongolia alongside Turkish Airlines, a total of 3 airline companies will be conducting direct flights to Turkey, shortening flight time of passengers and increasing the number of tourists for both countries.
