Minister Ch.Ulaan receives Australian Ambassador

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On February 21, Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry Ch.Ulaan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Commonwealth of Australia Dave Vosen. 




At the start of the meeting, Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry Ch.Ulaan said, “Since diplomatic relations were established between Mongolia and the Commonwealth of Australia,  I am grateful that the relations of the two countries are developing in various sectors such as politics, economy, education, culture and arts, humanities, and especially in natural resources sector.” He then highlighted that the Government of Mongolia has defined the agricultural sector as a core sector in developing the economy, and works are being done in the framework of fully meeting the domestic needs, and developing export products.


During the meeting, the sides discussed opportunities for partnership in learning from the practices of producing agriculture-based products in Australia, and exporting livestock products, and introducing the practices in Mongolia in aims of further developing partnership in the sectors of trade, economy, investment, and agriculture. 


 

The two sides expressed to give more focus on further development of partnership in the economy, business, and investment of the two countries, and accelerate cooperation in food production, agriculture, and livestock industry.
