Bridge connecting Dadal and Bayan-Adarga soums in Khentii to be commissioned in May

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Head of the Cabinet Secretariat of the Government L.Oyun-Erdene checked the construction progress of the 150 m bridge over the Onon River connecting Dadal and Bayn-Adarga soums of Khentii aimag. The construction project is currently 90 percent complete.

Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh, Mr. L.Oyun-Erdene, and Minister of Road and Transport Development B.Enkh-Amgalan, during their working visit to Khentii last May attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the project. Project contractor Gan Guur company, which is also working on the maintenance of a reinforced concrete bridge located in Dadal soum, plans to complete the bridge construction by May 10.

The bridge will not only bring an opportunity to open a new trade zone between Mongolia and the Russian Federation, but also contribute to the development of historical tourism in Khentii aimag by connecting major tourist complexes.

Head of the Cabinet Secretariat L.Oyun-Erdene emphasized that the most important part is that the infrastructure development will enable the people of Buryat, Kalmyk, and Tuva of Russia to conveniently travel to Khentii, the birthplace of Chinggis Khaan.
