One new coronavirus case detected in Kazakh transport driver, total in Mongolia 288

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Director of the National Center for Communicable Diseases (NCCD) D.Nyamkhuu provided an updated information on results of the latest coronavirus tests conducted on July 23 and physical conditions of people undergoing treatment for the coronavirus at today's press briefing of the Ministry of Health.


According to him, test results of 708 people out of 709 people in total came out negative after tests carried out yesterday at three laboratories. A transport driver, who entered Mongolia through Altanbulag border crossing checkpoint in Selenge aimag, was tested positive for the coronavirus. The infected driver is a 39-year old man and a citizen of Kazakhstan. He is being brought to the NCCD in Ulaanbaatar to receive treatment.


Three other people have recovered and are being transferred into the next stage of isolation today. As a result, 217 people out of 288 confirmed cases in Mongolia have recovered. A total of 71 people are under treatment, and 62 of whom are in mild and other nine are in serious health conditions.
