COVID-19: 56 close contacts test negative

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At the latest press briefing of the Ministry of Health, it was reported that 56 COVID-19 close contacts have been tested for COVID-19 in Ulaanbaatar since 11 AM today and that all 56 tested negative.
According to a response team working in Selenge aimag, rapid coronavirus tests of 181 close contacts in the aimag came out negative, reported Head of Surveillance Department of the National Center for Communicable Diseases A.Ambaselmaa.
Also, 272 of 348 COVID-19 close contacts have been tested and of those close contacts, 45 have been tested twice and 8 thrice.
As of today, 9 cases of community transmission have been confirmed in Ulaanbaatar and 4 in Selenge aimag. 400 of over 2,000 people who may have had indirect contact with a confirmed case are currently being tested for COVID-19.
