Mongolia's COVID-19 cases reach 434
SocietyUlaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. At today’s press briefing of the
Ministry of Health, it was reported that three people have tested positive for
COVID-19 after the laboratories nationwide carried out a total of 1762 tests
yesterday.
A.Ambaselmaa, head of the Surveillance Department of the
National Center for Communicable Diseases, said “The coronavirus was detected
in two freight truck drivers, who entered the country through the Altanbulag
border checkpoint. Moreover, the repeated testing was carried out to 80 people,
who had close contacts with the freight truck driver - the first man of a cluster
outbreak in Ulaanbaatar. As a result, one person was detected to get infected
with the virus.”
As of today, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in
Mongolia has reached 434, with 328 recoveries.
Currently, there are 100 patients undergoing treatment at
the NCCD; of them two are in serious, 21 are in moderate, and 77 are in mild
conditions. A total of 177 people are under precautionary observation at the
NCCD.
