Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The joint management committee of the Project for Formulation of Master Plan on Agricultural Value Chain co-implemented by the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) had a meeting on December 17.

In the meeting, JICA Mongolia Office representatives led by Chief Representative Tamura Eriko, and officials of the Ministry of Finance and Nation Development Agency exchanged views on how to effectively and successfully implement the project.

As part of the project to be implemented until 2024, pilot activities will be carried out to enhance value chains of seabuckthorn, honey, leather, cashmere and other products. Moreover, there are plans to align the project’s action plan with policy documents of the food, agriculture, and light industry sector and make product improvements by studying standards and requirements of importing countries.
