Deputy PM receives Russian Ambassador I.K.Azizov

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On February 4, Deputy Prime Minister S.Amarsaikhan received Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Mongolia I.K.Azizov.


At the outset of the meeting, the Deputy PM remarked that relations and cooperation between Mongolia and Russia have been successfully developing in all areas within the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.


Stressing that the Mongolian Government is striving for intensifying investment in economy, foreign trade and all fields in the time of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Deputy PM expressed that Mongolia will put special attention on effective implementation of bilateral cooperation projects and programs.


While expressing gratitude to the Deputy PM for the meeting, Ambassador I.K.Azizov informed that he is giving high significance to the Deputy PM working as Head of the Mongolian-Russian Intergovernmental Commission at a stretch. And the Ambassador put forward a request to hold the 23rd Intergovernmental Commission Meeting, which had been scheduled in 2020, virtually in the near future.



Ambassador I.K.Azizov also said he is hopeful that the sides would continue working meetings further on the matters including stabilizing operation of Altanbulag border checkpoint with the temporary regulation, taking prompt measures by the State Emergency Commission of Mongolia to develop bilateral business cooperation as well as on supplying “Sputnik V” coronavirus vaccine for the target groups and the entire population of Mongolia.


In response, the Deputy PM S.Amarsaikhan expressed to hold the 23rd Intergovernmental Commission Meeting in the near future alongside developing bilateral cooperation in all spheres in the future.
