6,500 vehicles to be disinfected at Zamiin-Uud border checkpoint every month

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. A
number of works have been initiated through
reforming Customs Office, Specialized Inspection Agency and other related
agencies of Zamiin-Uud soum.
By doing so, the following
results have been achieved:
- Covid-19 infection cases have decreased drastically as results of taking tests from one member of all household within the framework of ‘One door- one test’ measure, imposing quarantine, and ensuring infection control regimes.
- A service has been introduced to disinfect the surfaces of the vehicles crossing the border by placing two disinfection facilities on the both sides of the border which has a capacity to disinfect 300 vehicles per day and more than 6,500 vehicles per month.
- Health care, registration, isolation, observation, garbage disposal, and technical points were placed to provide faster services to customers.
- Recommendations and information on infection prevention have been provided to 311 entities and government organizations operating in Zamiin-Uud soum. As a result, disinfection channels, and other equipment have been installed at 12 terminals.
- Moreover, the number of freight vehicles crossing the border through Zamiin-Uud border checkpoints has increased from 100 to 190 for import vehicles.
