Meeting held with UK Ambassador

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. On September 7, Director,
Commissioner General of the Independent Authority Against Corruption of
Mongolia Z. Dashdavaa held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and
Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland H.E.
Philip Malone.
During the meeting, Commissioner General Z.Dashdavaa
presented the policies and actions being taken by the Government of Mongolia
against corruption, IAAC’s activities as well as achievements in the prevention
of corruption and the investigation of corruption.
Praising the IAAC’s activities, the Ambassador noted that in
the past, as a result of a joint investigation with the relevant law
enforcement agencies of the country, an immovable property worth MNT 4 billion was
seized and brought back to Mongolia.
In 2018, the IAAC signed a Memorandum of Understanding with
the UK's Serious Fraud Office (SFO) and has been effectively cooperating with International
Anti-Corruption Coordination Center (IACCC) and UK’s National Crime Agency (NCA)
in the exchange of information on investigating corruption.
