Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Today marks the 859th birth anniversary of the Great Chinggis Khaan, the National Pride Day, which falls on the first day of winter according to the Mongolian Lunar Calendar.

Per the decree of the President of Mongolia issued on January 9, 2012, it was decided to officially declare Chinggis Khaan’s day of birth as ‘National Pride Day’ based on the conclusion of a corresponding working group as well as the suggestion received from the Mongolian Academy of Sciences.
