Cabinet instructs SEC to pay special attention to border control

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. During today's Cabinet meeting, Prime
Minister L.Oyun-Erdene assigned the State Emergency Commission to pay special
attention to the border control to prevent the ‘Omicron’ variant of the
coronavirus.
At the meeting, the SEC announced that more vaccination
points are to be opened to improve coverage of the coronavirus third dose vaccination.
Due to the new variant of the coronavirus, the SEC has issued
a decision not to allow the entry of foreigners coming from or passing through
countries where the new variant has spread.
At the 29th meeting of the SEC, it also decided that
Mongolian nationals who have traveled or passed through the countries at risk of the infection will be admitted to the country, but will be put in 10-day mandatory isolation at
their own expense.
