Project on supporting school food manufacturing and services to be implemented at six schools

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The Ministry of Education and
Science, in collaboration with JICA, will implement a project towards
supporting school food manufacturing and services at six general educational
schools in Ulaanbaatar city, Uvurkhangai and Dundgobi aimags in 2022-2025. A
governing committee of the project held its first meeting on February 24.
As a result of the project, the impact of school lunch services
on physical development and their families will be scientifically studied and
food supply logistics tailored for Mongolia’s geography will be strengthened.
Also, the environment of preparing school lunch with
available food products that can meet nutrient balance will be improved,
capacity building of food manufacturing personnel will be developed, as well as
school lunch menus will become enriched.
