Ambassador U.Enkhtuvshin pays working visit to Irkutsk

Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Russian Federation U.Enkhtuvshin paid
a working visit to Irkutsk, Russia on April 29-30.
On April 29, the
Ambassador met with a Governor of the Irkutsk Region I.I.Kobzev, Chairman of
the Irkutsk Legislative Assembly A.V.Vedernikov, and Vice-Chairman K.R.Aldarov.
During the meeting, the sides agreed to develop traditional regional and cross-border relations
and cooperation in the field of trade, investment, tourism and humanitarian
activities, and exchanged views on the possibility of launching new projects
and programs.
On the second day of his visit, U. Enkhtuvshin met with Mayor of Irkutsk R.N. Bolotov to exchange views on sister city relations between Ulaanbaatar and Irkutsk, as well as events planned to be organized for 2022. During the meeting, the Mongolian side highly appreciated the role of Irkutsk universities in training Mongolian personnel, who have made a significant contribution to the country's socio-economic development, and expressed commitment of the Embassy of Mongolia in Russia and the Consulate General in Irkutsk to further strengthening the cooperation in the field of education, humanitarian and healthcare.
