UNESCO Director-General visiting Mongolia
SocietyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On the occasion of Mongolia’s accession to
UNESCO, UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azouley is on a working visit to
Mongolia on July 10-14, at the invitation of the Minister of
Foreign Affairs, Chairman of the National Commission of Mongolia for UNESCO B.

During the visit, Director General Audrey Azoulay has signed a renewed Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of Mongolia and UNESCO on cooperation in 2022-2029, is holding meetings with high-level state officials and attending the opening ceremony of the National Naadam Holiday, inscribed in UNESCO’s List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
She also plans to visit the Khustain Nuruu National Park, which was registered in the UNESCO World Network of
Biosphere Reserves, and the Orkhon Valley cultural landscape, which was included in the UNESCO World Cultural
Heritage List.
