Political Consultative Meeting Between the Foreign Ministries of Mongolia and Uruguay Held

April 17, 2023 /MONTSAME/. The first Political Consultative Meeting between the
Foreign Ministries of Mongolia and the Oriental Republic of Uruguay was held on
April 14, 2023, online. The meeting was co-chaired by Vice Minister of the
Foreign Affairs of Mongolia G. Amartuvshin on the Mongolian side, and Vice
Minister of the Foreign Affairs of Uruguay Nicolas Albertoni on the Uruguayan
side.
While highlighting the 25th anniversary of the
establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, which was
marked in 2022, the sides expressed their delights that the relations and
cooperation between the two countries have been active in recent years.
Moreover, the sides reciprocated commitments to
expand and develop cooperation in all possible areas, such as trade, economy,
tourism, education, sport, and culture. Specifically, the Mongolian side noted
its intention to develop relations with Uruguay in animal husbandry as a
priority sector and learn their experience on the animal registration system.
The Memorandum of Understanding has been established
between the capital cities of the two countries, unveiling many opportunities
for the cities, which are social, economic, and cultural centers of both
countries to cooperate.
