Chongqing to Cooperate in Ulaanbaatar Development Projects

Ulaanbaatar, May 9, 2023 /MONTSAME/. Chongqing, one of the major cities of China, the center of car manufacturing,
technology, and finance in the country, has agreed to cooperate
in the development projects of
Ulaanbaatar. Yesterday "Ulaanbaatar City Development
Corporation" JSC and Chongqing
Federation of Industry and Commerce signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation.
General Manager of Chongqing Qianyi Trading Co., LTD Li Wenjun informed that they would supply the required equipment and machinery for public utilities of Ulaanbaatar. The Chinese side will provide necessary
financial support for leasing and purchasing equipment.
"We
will renew the city and public
utility fleet of auto
vehicles and machinery in the frame of this cooperation. The essence is to carry out
this work in cooperation with foreign and domestic businesses and investors without loading the burden on the budget. Such an opportunity opens today," said Executive Director of Ulaanbaatar City Development
Corporation N. Bayarchimeg. “ A working group will
draw up a plan for seeking
financial sources
based on the memorandum. Since it is not possible to solve it 100 percent with the city budget, the modernization of the equipment of public
utilities and other sectors of the city, we proposed the member companies of
the Chongqing Federation of Industry and Commerce make advance payment and supply by leasing.”
Chongqing
is one of the four cities of the country under the direct administration of the Government of China. It is a highly-developed industrial, financial, and technological center. There are prospects of cooperating with Chongqing
as the city of green
production and its equipment is manufactured incorporating
leading technologies and smart solutions. The Governor of Ulaanbaatar visited this city and agreed to
cooperate in the areas of supporting
investment and economic development
of Ulaanbaatar.
Vice Chairman of
Chongqing Federation of Industry and Commerce Hong Zhongjin emphasized, "Our cooperation
is starting
grounded on
the brotherly relationship between Ulaanbaatar and Chongqing,
as well as the visit of Mayor
of Ulaanbaatar
D. Sumiyabazar to Chongqing in February this year." He informed that they would supply water sprinklers, cleaning machines required for Ulaanbaatar public utility, and electric buses for
public transportation.
