Border Guards Plant 650 TreesSociety
Ulaanbaatar, June 8, 2023 /MONTSAME/. Under the "One Billion Trees" National Campaign initiated by President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, the border unit No. 0257, named after Hero of Mongolia L. Davaadorj, has taken part in a commendable initiative by planting 650 trees in collaboration with senior border guards and building a "Khilchin" (border guard) garden.
The "Khilchin" garden, situated on the west side of Murun soum in Khuvsgul aimag, has been designated to develop into a cultural complex that displays unique features and contributions of border guards.
In addition to the tree planting, the border guards have gone above and beyond by constructing fences and installing irrigation systems. As a result, the border guards can nurture the planted trees and preserve the environment. These additional measures aim to create a sustainable and greener future for the citizens of Murun soum.
