Minister of Foreign Affairs B. Battsetseg to Visit Australia

Ulaanbaatar, September 11, 2023 /MONTSAME/. The Minister of Foreign
Affairs B. Battsetseg will pay an official visit to the Commonwealth of
Australia on September 12-15, 2023 at the invitation of the Minister for Foreign
Affairs, Senator Penny Wong.
During her visit, the Minister
of Foreign Affairs B. Battsetseg will pay a courtesy call on the Speaker of the
Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia, hold official talks with the
Minister for Foreign Affairs and meet with the head and members of the
Australia-Mongolia Friendship Group in the Parliament of Australia, and other
officials, and discuss issues of bilateral relations, in it expansion of cooperation
in trade, economy, education, mining and agriculture sectors, support citizens’
exchange, as well as share opinions on international and regional matters of
mutual interest.
The Minister will visit the
Australian Institute of International Affairs and deliver a lecture on
"Mongolia's Foreign Relations: Northeast Asia Policy". She will also attend
the opening of the Mongolian Morin Khuur Ensemble's first performance on the
stage of the Sydney Opera House.
This is the first high-level
visit after the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations
between Mongolia and the Commonwealth of Australia.
