President of Mongolia Receives Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation

February 6, 2024 /MONTSAME/ President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa today received
Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexey Logvinovich Overchuk.
The President of Mongolia emphasized that the Comprehensive
Strategic Partnership between Mongolia and the Russian Federation based on
mutual trust is developing and noted the need to advance trade and economic
cooperation between the two countries. President Ukhnaa mentioned his meeting with
President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in October 2023, during the
"Belt and Road" high-level meeting held in Beijing, at which they
agreed to reduce trade taxes and jointly implement major development projects
and programs in the infrastructure and energy sectors.

Overchuk noted that intensive works are being carried out to realize the agreed
issues during the meetings of the Heads of State and Prime Ministers of the two
countries in 2023 and expand the cooperation in energy, infrastructure,
education, and humanitarian sectors.
The parties agreed that the events to be organized within
the framework of the 75th anniversary of the Ulaanbaatar Railway Mongolian-Russian
Joint Venture and the 85th anniversary of the Battle of Khalkhiin Gol Victory
will significantly contribute to the strengthening of friendly relations and
friendship between the people of the two countries.
