Meet the Mongolian Judokas Competing at the Paris Olympics

Ulaanbaatar, June 12, 2024 /MONTSAME/. The National Judo Team of Mongolia has earned the right to compete in ten weight classes at the Paris Olympics. The names of the judokas to represent Mongolia in each weight class have been announced.
The International Judo Federation (IJF) will officially reveal the athletes qualified for the Olympics on June 25th. This is 13 days from now. The IJF will then submit the list of qualified countries competing in individual and mixed-team categories to the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

Women's Category:
- B. Baasankhuu (48 kg)
- L. Sosorbaram (52 kg)
- L. Enkhriilen (57 kg)
- O. Khuslen (-78 kg)
- A. Adiyasuren (+78 kg)
Men's Category:
- E. Ariunbold (60 kg)
- Yo. Baskhuu (66 kg)
- B. Erdenebayar (73 kg)
- B. Gonchigsuren (-100 kg)
- O. Tsetsentsengel (+100 kg)
The Mongolian Judo Association and the coaches of the National Team have selected Honored Athlete of Mongolia Yo. Baskhuu for the 66 kg category and International Master of Sports of Mongolia D. Erdenebayar for the 73 kg category. World Champion and Olympic Bronze Medalist Ts. Tsogtbaatar will unfortunately miss the Paris Olympics due to injury.
Judokas of the National Team are now training in Hohhot, China, for a 20-day intensive program. Following the training, they'll head to the Bayangol Hotel and Resort on the outskirts of Ulaanbaatar City for recovery.
