Mongolia and the EU Celebrate the 35th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations

Ulaanbaatar, June 20, 2024 /MONTSAME/. On June 18, 2024, an Honoring Ceremony was held to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the European Union. At the Honoring Ceremony, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the European Union L. Bold made opening remarks. 


Also, Secretary-General of the European External Action Service of the European Union Stefano Sannino addressed, emphasizing the developing relations and cooperation between Mongolia and the European Union based on common principles of democracy, human rights, and the rule of law and the active bilateral dialogue mechanisms. Secretary-General Sannino expressed confidence that Mongolia-EU cooperation would broaden in various priority areas in the coming years.


The Ceremony attendees included Members of the European Parliament István Ujhelyi and Frédérique Ries (Vice-President of Renew Europe), Head of the Cabinet of the EU Commissioner for International Partnerships Taneli Lahti, Managing Director for Asia and the Pacific of the European External Action Service Niclas Kvarnström, heads of diplomatic missions in the European Union, and representatives of partner organizations.
